EPH Funding Figures

The Department of Epidemiology and Public Health (EPH) submitted 151 grant applications in FY2023. EPH faculty received $38m in extramural funding, and 92% of extramural funding came from federal sources.

The department anticipates continued growth in extramural support. Factors pushing this growth include:

  1. Growth in the number of submitted proposals
  2. Greater collaboration across campuses
  3. Recruitment of research faculty

The department is committed to expanding its research funding and to increasing the productivity of research projects.
