This committee was founded in 2020 by a coalition of students and faculty in the Program in Neuroscience (PIN) with the goal of supporting community, both within our neuroscience community and beyond. While now supported by UM-MIND and the Kahlert Institute for Addiction Medicine, the Neuro Networks Committee maintains strong connection with PIN and is driven in large part by trainees and faculty in the program, including multiple PIN representatives and a trainee chair.

The Neuro Networks Committee's activities include:

  • creating student-composed Neuro Networks Memos
  • producing the Neuro Networks podcast, which highlights members of our neuroscience community
  • organizing the Neuro Networks Seminar Series
  • hosting frequent Neuro Networks Socials
  • planning and executing the annual Neuro Networks Day

Upcoming Events

  • April 17, 2025: Neuro Networks Seminar: Antoinette G. Nelson, PhD, Former USAID Senior Advisor for Biomedical Technologies
  • May 16, 2025: Neuro Networks Day
  • June 12, 2025: Neuro Networks Seminar: Arturo Zavala, PhD, Professor, Department of Psychology, California State University, Long Beach

Neuro Networks Memos

The Neuro Networks Memos are composed by a dedicated subcommittee. These Memos promote community spirit and wellness, share relevant events and resources, and highlight the unique science journeys of various members in our neuroscience community and beyond.
