Vacation
Residents receive 15 paid vacation days plus a number of federal holidays off. One additional week of holiday time is granted over the week of Christmas or New Year's. Approved conference days do not count towards your 15 annual vacation days.

Program Benefits
- Book funds and sponsorship of continuing education (CE) credits

- The Department of Radiation Oncology hosts an annual fully catered holiday party for all employees plus a guest (age 21+), a summer picnic for immediate families/ a guest, and at least four departmental happy hours each year. Additionally, the residents enjoy other department-sponsored social events throughout the year such as the annual resident graduation dinner, Friendsgiving, a summer BBQ, life-event celebrations for new babies and weddings, and plenty of resident happy hours.
- Supported funding for publication submission fees for work that originates at the University of Maryland
- The residency wellness fund: $5,000 annually can be used between all of the residents for various activities such as teambuilding, dinners, snacks for the resident workroom, physical activities, and more. On-Campus Resources
The University of Maryland Health Sciences and Human Services Library (UMHSHSL) is available for resident use. There is also a resident library that maintains an extensive collection of journals and books.
