Choosing to live and work in the rich city of Baltimore offers a host of unique experiences. Baltimore houses a diverse offering of neighborhoods which meet any lifestyle, including its historic downtown neighborhoods located less than two miles from the University of Maryland Medical Center such as Fells Point, Federal Hill or Mount Vernon; and, plenty of suburban housing in nearby Baltimore, Anne Arundel or Howard Counties.

The Department of Radiation Oncology is generally a weekday, day-shift department which offers our residents ample opportunities to explore the area on evenings and weekends. Whether it’s dinner on the Inner Harbor, visiting a local brewery or winery, a day of hiking, an agritourism self-tour, exploring a historical site, catching a baseball or football game, or attending one of the many local annual festivals, you don’t have to go far to find yourself at home.

If you are searching for a change of scenery, Baltimore City is a short drive to some of the most historic waterfront towns including Maryland’s capital city of Annapolis. Maryland is sometimes called “America in Miniature” because of its variety of landscapes, and Baltimore is less than a two-hour drive from a number of mountain attractions, less than three hours from Eastern Shore beaches, and just 20 minutes from Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.
