Division of Visual & Broadcast Media

The Division of Visual & Broadcast Media creates high-quality photography and video content to showcase the University of Maryland School of Medicine. As part of the Office of Public Affairs, our team captures compelling visuals that highlight the institution’s achievements, faculty, and initiatives.

We provide professional faculty portraits for profile pages and marketing materials, along with dynamic video production to support the school’s outreach and storytelling efforts. Through our work, we bring the School of Medicine’s mission to life, ensuring its impact is seen and remembered.

Official Faculty Portraits

Faculty portraits are used for online profiles and campus publications such as SOMnews, The Buzz, the Voice and bulletins. If you have an official faculty portrait that meets standards, it should appear automatically on your profile. After your photo is taken by a SOM Photographer, it is optimized for the web, then uploaded to your faculty profile. Faculty portraits are not uploaded using Terminal Four (T4).
