On November 12, faculty from the University of Maryland School of Medicine (UMSOM) joined partners across the University of Maryland health system and the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) to participate in TouchPoint Baltimore’s community resource fair, where they provided healthcare services and educational information to residents of West Baltimore. The event was held at TouchPoint Baltimore’s offices at Mondawmin Mall, close to the Village at Mondawmin, which will house a new 17,000-square-foot space bringing a range of medical, dental, and ancillary services to the community.

During the event, UM staff offered free blood pressure and diabetes screenings. They also administered flu vaccines and shared information on a range of health services including addiction treatment programs, mammograms, immunizations, and diabetes education.
