Office of Public Affairs
The Office of Public Affairs works to elevate the School of Medicine's national profile, and communicate its major discoveries and breakthroughs in biomedical research and innovations in clinical care. The office enhances the image, identity and reputation of the School of Medicine by publicizing faculty, staff and student achievements and by providing news and information to internal and external stakeholders and the community. To that end, the Office of Public Affairs, among other things:
- Serves as a liaison between the School of Medicine and the news media and public
- Writes and produces a wide range of internal and external print publications featuring news and human interests stories about the accomplishments of faculty, staff and students
- Plans and organizes educational programs for the community
- Develops and manages digital content, including websites, social media, digital signage, and video
