Purpose
The purpose of this research is to understand more about youth and young adult decisions and experiences related to work, school, and disability benefits both while receiving early intervention services and after discharge.
What Will Participants Be Asked to Do?
Current and former CSC participants:
- Three study visits for current CSC participants: study enrollment, CSC discharge, and 9 months after CSC discharge
- Two study visits for former/graduated CSC participants: study enrollment and a 9-month follow-up
- Each study visit is approximately 1 hour and will be conducted over Zoom
- A short online survey (approx. 10-15 minutes) after each study visit
- Two optional, in-depth interviews (one hour, over Zoom)
- Participants may invite a family member to complete their own, one-hour virtual interview
Family members of CSC/specialized early psychosis services:
- One in-depth interview (one hour, over Zoom)
Eligible Participants
- Currently or formerly enrolled in a specialized early intervention in psychosis or Coordinated Specialty Care (CSC) site
- 15 years of age or older
- Proficient in English
OR
- Close family members of individuals receiving specialized early psychosis services (i.e. early intervention in psychosis, Coordinated Specialty Care or similar programs)
- 18 years of age or older
- Proficient in English
- Family members may participate with or without their service user.
Compensation
Current CSC Participants 18 years old and older*
Compensation is $60 for each study visit. Study visits include a brief interview and online survey (3 visits) and a longer interview (2 visits, optional). Total compensation is up to $300.
Former CSC Participants 18 years old and older*
Compensation is $60 for each study visit. Study visits include a brief interview and online survey (2 visits) and a longer interview (2 visits, optional). Total compensation is up to $240.
*Participants 15-17 years old are also eligible. See other flyers or contact us for more information.
Family Members: Participants will be compensated $60 for their involvement.
All compensations sent by prepaid Mastercard.
