Biosketch

Dr. Weintraub is an Associate Professor in Psychiatry in the Department of Psychiatry.  He is board certified in General Psychiatry and has added qualifications in Addiction Psychiatry.  In addition he is the medical director of the Univeristy of Maryland's Medical Center's Psychiatric Emergency Services (PES).  He is an expertise in the treatment of opoioid dependence with Medication Assisted Treatment.  He has helped delvelop innovative programs in providing Medication Assisted Treatment to underserved rural areas via tele-medicine and in engaging opioid dependent patients in the Emergency Department with Medication Assisted Treatment.
