Biosketch

Dr. Weintraub is a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry. He is board certified in General Psychiatry and has added qualifications in Addiction Psychiatry. He is an extensive expertise in the treatment of individuals with opioid use disorder and injection drug use with the use of Medications for Opioid Use Disorder and motivational interviewing. He has helped develop innovative programs in providing MOUD to underserved rural areas via tele-medicine and in integrating mental health and medical care in substance use treatment programs.
