Biosketch
Dr. Talaat is a board-certified internist. She practiced internal medicine in rural Minnesota and in Washington DC before completing her fellowship training in hospice and palliative medicine and joining the University of Maryland in her current role.
Dr. Talaat is an active member of the Palliative Care consultation team. She is passionate about the medical education of future generations of clinicians and researchers. She has a special interest in palliative wound care and facilitating access to palliative care services for patients with serious and advanced illnesses.
