Education and Training
Dr. Shorofsky’s research interests include mechanisms of defibrillation, new technology for the diagnosis and management of arrhythmias, new antiarrhythmic medications, diaphragmatic pacing for central sleep apnea, imaging modalities in combination with ablation for the management of ventricular tachycardia, and atrial fibrillation.

Biosketch
My training is in both cellular and clinical electrophysiology. I specializes in the management and treatment of all arrhythmias, as well as conditions such as syncope and heart palpitations. My responsibilities include consultative services, drug management, diagnostic studies, and ablative procedures to eliminate unwanted arrhythmias. I am part of a team that manages device therapies including implantation of pacemakers and defibrillators and their extraction when necessary, The ablation of complex arrhythmias, the placement of left atrial appendage closure devices, and the implantation of leadless pacemakers.
