Biosketch

Dr. Parker graduated from McGill University and received her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. After a residency in internal medicine, she spent three years on the faculty at the University of North Carolina working at their Area Health Education Center at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. She returned to Baltimore to join the faculty at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 1992. Since joining the faculty, she has served as the Medical Director of the Internal Medicine Clinic, Associate Program Director for Ambulatory Education in the Department of Medicine, Assistant Dean for Admissions, Associate Dean for Student and Faculty Development, Associate Dean for Student Affairs and is currently Senior Associate Dean for Undergraduate Medical Education.

Dr. Parker excels at championing ideas and creating solutions for the betterment of a variety of constituents, and ultimately, society.  She is a motivated and successful mentor who finds value in the success of others.  Dr. Parker is committed to individualizing and personalizing mentoring with integrity, professionalism and compassion and serves as a steady advocate for those without a voice.
