Biosketch
Mohammad Oreizi-Esfahani, M.D., received his medical degree from St. Joseph University Faculty of Medicine in Lebanon. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Maryland General Hospital, where he was appointed chief resident. Subsequently, he completed his Rheumatology fellowship at the University of Maryland Medical System. Dr. Esfahani is currently board certified in both Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. He is fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Rheumatology.
Dr. Esfahani has spent many years teaching residents and fellows about the practice of Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. His dedication to his students has been demonstrated by the numerous Golden Apple Awards he has received which recognized him as the Best Teaching Attending. He has also received many accolades highlighting his dedication and commitment to delivering quality patient care. Most notably, he was presented with the prestigious City of Baltimore Mayor's Citation in 1996. He has also been recognized as Doctor of the Year for multiple consecutive years and was a finalist for the Health Care Hero Award.
Dr. Esfahani's philosophy in practicing Medicine centers around the principle of ‘Do No Harm’. His treatment approach is based on life-style modifications rather than the sole use of medications. He focuses on educating his patients about their health problems and working with them to make informed decisions regarding their treatment.
