Kaycie Hutcheson is a certified nurse midwife who completed her training from Columbia University in New York. She is originally from Wichita, Kansas, but also has pieces of home in Durham, North Carolina and New York City due to her time living there for college and graduate school. She moved to Baltimore in summer of 2023 to finish her midwifery training and prepare to practice in the area.
As a midwife, she looks forward to providing patient care with a focus on patient education, empowerment, and advocacy. She received her nursing and midwifery training in community hospitals serving primarily Black and Latinx populations in New York, and she looks forward to utilizing that skill set and expanding it at University of Maryland. Kaycie has a strong interest in nutrition in the preconception and pregnancy periods, menstrual cycle health, and fertility.
