Biosketch

Dr. Hong-Zohlman is the Medical Director of the Echocardiography Laboratory at the University of Maryland Medical Center.  Her major research interests are in advanced noninvasive cardiovascular imaging and the use of multimodality imaging to identify sex differences in cardiovascular disease, particularly in infiltrative cardiomyopathies such as hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and diseases involving the pericardium.  With her secondary appointment in Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, Dr. Hong-Zohlman works closely with Drs. Jean Jeudy and Charles White in Thoracic Radiology with regard to cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging and cardiac computed tomography, both within research and in clinical care.

Dr. Hong-Zohlman is trained in all cardiovascular noninvasive imaging modalities, including echocardiography (Level 3), cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging (Level 3), nuclear cardiology (Level 2), and computed cardiac tomography (Level 2). She is also board certified in cardiovascular medicine, echocardiography, and nuclear medicine.
