Donna S. Hanes, MD

I ama clinical associate professor of medicine at Maryland. After graduation in 1992, I interned and received residency training at Maryland before serving as chief resident from 1996 to 1997. I completed post-graduate training here with a two-year fellowship in nephrology.

I haveserved as director of the nephrology fellowship program, clerkship director in internal medicine, director of clinical education, and director of senior medicine sub-internships. I am the recipient of numerous school citations including two Gold Apple Awards and a Student Council Clinical Faculty Teaching Award.

I currentlyserve as an officer for the Trustees of the Endowment of the University of Maryland, Past President of the Medical Alumni Associationand am Chairman of theState Commissioner on Kidney Disease, appointed by Governor Larry Hogan.
