Biosketch

Dr. Courtney Goode, OD is an optometrist who examines, diagnoses, and treats ocular health and refractive disorders. She delivers comprehensive eye care, practices medical optometry, and dispenses soft contact lenses and glasses for her patients. Her special interests include neuro-optometry, helping low vision patients maximize their vision, the management of ocular disease, and routine diabetic eye examinations.

Dr. Goode is a Maryland native. After graduating from the University of Maryland College Park in 2012, she went on to graduate from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO) with highest honors in 2017. While attending PCO, Dr. Goode developed an interest in low vision and neuro-optometry. During her residency at the Veterans Health Administration in Fresno, California, her knowledge and interest continued to grow. Dr. Goode was able to present her findings “Bilateral Vision Loss in a Multiple Sclerosis Patient” at the American Academy of Optometry Meeting in 2017, “Diplopia in Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy” in 2018, and “Bilateral Vision Loss and Blood Pressure” at the National Optometric Association Conference in 2019.

Dr. Goode’s passion for healthy eyes extends to serving the community here and abroad. Dr. Goode frequently participates in free vision screenings. She has served as the National Optometric Student director, helping to acquire scholarships for optometry students. She recently returned from a medical mission trip in Uganda, servicing over 250 patients and providing free eye health examinations and glasses.

 Dr. Goode is currently accepting new patients at our Baltimore, Owings Mills, and Columbia offices.
