Biosketch
Derik L. Davis, M.D. is a Professor in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, located on the campus of University of Maryland, Baltimore. Dr. Davis is a board-certified diagnostic radiologist who specializes in musculoskeletal imaging for several hospitals and outpatient facilities within the University of Maryland Medical System and the VA Maryland Healthcare System.
Dr. Davis is an active participant in programs for medical student, resident, and fellow education. He is the Course Director of the Musculoskeletal Radiology Elective for third and fourth year medical students. He also serves as Director of the Musculoskeletal Radiology and MRI Fellowship Programs.
Dr. Davis is the author or co-author for over 105 peer-reviewed publications and proffered abstracts, and also the author of 13 book chapters. He serves as a reviewer for several scientific journals and is a member of the Editorial Board for the American Journal of Sports Medicine, a premiere journal in the fields of orthopaedics and sports medicine.
