Biosketch

Dr. Chawla was born in Philadelphia, PA and raised in Cherry Hill, NJ. She received her MD from Drexel University College of Medicine and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the New York University Medical Center. Upon finishing her training she worked with Doctors Without Borders (Medecins Sans Frontieres) in Liberia. 

She specializes in general obestetrics and gynecology with a subfocus in Global Women's Health, cervical cancer screening & management of abnormal pap smears [colposcopy, in office leep, cryotherapy and visual inspection], family planning, contraceptive management, and surgical managment of gynecologica disorders. Her global work involves teaching, training and supporting women's healthcare programs in multiple countries and in providing support to programs that help decrease overall maternal morbidity and mortality.
