Biosketch

Michael Bond, MD is a Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He earned his medical degree from University of Maryland School of Medicine, and completed residency training at Allegheny General Hospital. He works clinically in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Maryland Medical Center. He was the Residency Program Director of the University of Maryland Emergency Medicine program until 2020, is board certified in Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. He has authored more than 40 refereed publications. He has more than 15 years of experience in residency education, and has maintained a strong presence in information technology. First with the development of a departmental web portal, and now with development of our local Epic EMR installation.  Dr. Bond’s interest lies in using technology to improve patient outcomes, whether it be providing evidence based clinical decision support, to allowing patients to have better access to their health information, and becoming an active participant in their care.
