Biosketch
Dr Suzanne Abdelazim is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecologist (ABOG) and an Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences. Dr Abdelazim received her bachelors degree in biochemistry from the University of Maryland College Park, MD. She received her medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, VA.
Dr. Abdelazim has a strong passion for women’s health and a commitment to providing comprehensive care to her patients. She specializes in minimally invasive surgery, including advanced robotic surgery and laparoscopy, which allows for faster recovery times and improved outcomes for her patients. Dr. Abdelazim's clinical interests are broad and include the management of pelvic pain, endometriosis, abnormal vaginal bleeding, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), infertility, uterine fibroids, and menopause.
Her expertise in these areas enables her to offer personalized and effective treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs. In addition to her surgical skills, Dr. Abdelazim finds great joy in delivering babies and cherishes the opportunity to develop lifelong relationships with her patients. Her approach to care is characterized by compassion, dedication, and a deep understanding of the complexities of women's health. Through her work, Dr. Abdelazim aims to empower women to achieve optimal health and well-being at every stage of life.
