Biosketch
Dr. Mehndiratta is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, and is a board-certified Neurologist with a specialty in Vascular Neurology (Stroke). She completed her Neurology residency at the Case Western Reserve School of Medicine, and was then a fellow at University of Virgina in Vascular and Advanced Vascular Neurology. She served as an Assistant Professor of Neurology and Director of the Vascular Neurology Fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, VA before joining the team at UMMC.
Dr. Mehndiratta's clinical focus is in treating patients with stroke and intracranial hemorrhage, as well as other types of cerebravascular disease, in the inpatient and outpatient settings. Her overall research focuses on health care outcomes in stroke, gender disparities of stroke, stroke literacy and medical education.
