Biosketch
Following residency, Dr. Delapenha spent 2 years working as a hospitalist at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center before joining the faculty at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 2022. He currently works as a primary care physician predominately seeing patients in clinic and will occasionally care for hospitalized patients. He also spends time teaching residents in the outpatient and inpatient setting. Dr. Delapenha is invested in building strong relationships with his patients to serve as their health advocate and help them make informed choices about their health.
Dr. Delapenha has a strong interest in transitions of care, population health and healthcare access. He is also interested in helping to improve diversity, equity and inclusion within the field of medicine.
