Anne Brockmeyer, PT, DPT, PCS, graduated from University of Maryland School of Medicine, Department of Physical Therapy Rehabilitation Science, in 2018 with her doctorate of physical therapy. She began her career as a staff physical therapist with Harford County Public Schools, working in early intervention through the county’s Infants and Toddlers Program, from 2018-2019. She completed Kennedy Krieger Institute’s pediatric physical therapy residency program in 2020. Immediately following her residency, Dr. Brockmeyer worked as a staff physical therapist at Kennedy Krieger Institute, working in both the outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation programs. In 2021, Dr. Brockmeyer became a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Pediatric Physical Therapy. Currently, she teaches within the entry-level doctor of physical therapy program and works as a clinician at the University of Maryland School of Medicine Practice at Camden Yards.

Clinically, Dr. Brockmeyer has experience with a wide variety of complex diagnoses. Her interests are in tone management, functional independence, gait and weight bearing interventions, functional play interventions, orthotic and equipment management, community participation, and self-efficacy/goal attainment.

Dr. Brockmeyer has always loved sports and is a former NCAA Division I and Division III women’s lacrosse player, earning IWLCA All-American honors in 2011. Since entering the field of pediatric physical therapy, her interests have remained, with a specific focus on community engagement in sports for children with disabilities. She is currently an active volunteer with Kennedy Krieger Institute’s Adaptive Sports Program, the Bennett Institute, and serves as an assistant coach for the Bennett Blazers Wheelchair Basketball teams, both prep and varsity, with the prep team winning the National Wheelchair Basketball Association championship in 2019.
