Robert J. Bloch, PhD, Professor of Pharmacology, Physiology, and Drug Development, presented two lectures at University College, London in October and November. The topics of his talks were “Calcium, Phosphorylation and Muscle Disease” and “ Developing a Gene Therapy for Dysferlinopathies (LGMD R2).
Publications
Bruce K. Krueger, PhD, Professor of Pharmacology, Physiology, and Drug Development and of Psychiatry is corresponding author of a paper entitled “Rapid effects of valproic acid on the fetal brain transcriptome: Implications for brain development and autism”, which was published in the journal Translational Psychiatry on December 4, 2024. Coauthors are Susan G. Dorsey (School of Nursing), Evelina Mocci, (Institute for Genome Sciences) and Malcolm V. Lane (Epidemiology and Public Health).
Alexa Blanchard, MD/PhD student, Anna Maximova, MD/PhD student, Matthew R. Bruce, PhD, Christie Dionisos, PhD student, Kaliroi Engel, PhD student, Adam Pham, PhD student, and Margaret McCarthy, PhD, Professor of Pharmacology, Physiology, and Drug Development, were among the co authors of "Mast cells proliferate in the peri-hippocampal space during early development and modulate local and peripheral immune cells," which was published in Developmental Cell on December 10, 2024.
