Division of Pediatric Endocrinology
The Division of Pediatric Endocrinology is recognized for it strong clinical and research program. The clinical program includes treating children with classical endocrine problems, the Endocrine Diagnostic Unit, and participation in the University of Maryland Center for Diabetes and Endocrinology (UMCDE) at Midtown. Clinical research studies have a major focus on Type 1 diabetes prevention. Additional clinical offices are located at Upper Chesapeake Physicians Pavilion, Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital, University of Maryland Pediatrics at Lutherville, The Transgender Clinic at Penn Street, and Pediatric Specialty Practice at Hanover.
