FRCT Certificate of Outstanding Achievement
Every year, the Certificate of Outstanding Achievement honors the top 10% of graduating medical students who, through the structure and support of the FRCT course, demonstrate outstanding accomplishments in research. Students are evaluated based on their research achievements, including first-authored and co-authored publications, conference presentations, and research awards and competitive research fellowships.
Applications for the Certificate are due in August, with winners announced in early September.
Class of 2022
17 students were selected as winners for this year’s award— that represents just over 10% of the Class of 2022. Combined, the winners had more than 115 article publications or submissions, with 38 first-author publications. They had also received 25 awards for their research, and had their work accepted for presentations over 80 times.
On behalf of the Office of Student Research, we would like to congratulate all of the recipients of the FRCT Certificate of Outstanding Achievement for the Class of 2022. We also extend our sincerest thanks and appreciation to all the mentors and supporters of the FRCT course and of medical student research.
