Dean's Award for Excellence in Research

Applications for the 2025 Dean's Award for Excellence in Research
are NOW OPEN!

Each year, graduating medical students at the University of Maryland School of Medicine (UM SOM) are invited to submit their credentials to be considered for the "Dean’s Award for Excellence in Research."

The award recognizes students’ extraordinary hard work and accomplishments in biomedical or clinical/translational research while they were engaged in the rigorous medical training curriculum at UM SOM. Traditionally, the award consists of a plaque and a cash prize, which are presented at the Student Awards Ceremony in May.
