We look forward to celebrating the University of Maryland School of Medicine Class of 2025 medical students at this momentous occasion! Please note that tickets are required for this event. We ask that families and friends reach out to students for details about registration, tickets, and special accommodations. 

For those that cannot join in person, we encourage you to watch the ceremony via livestream starting at 1:00 pm on Thursday, May 22. The link will be posted here closer to the event.

Parking will be available at the Baltimore Grand Garage (5 N. Paca St.), next to the Hippodrome. Carpooling is encouraged. This is a UMB Garage. Hourly parking rates will apply. If you have a parking pass at another garage, it will not work at this garage for this event. Please note that there is no direct elevator access from the garage to the venue. 

2024 Ceremony

On Thursday, May 16, 2024, we celebrated the University of Maryland School of Medicine Class of 2024 medical students at our graduation ceremony at the Hippodrome Theatre. We were honored to have Martine Rothblatt, PhD, JD, MBA. as our keynote speaker. Read more and view photos of the event here

Keynote Speaker: Paul A. Offit, MD

Paul A. Offit, MD, is an internationally recognized expert in the fields of virology and immunology. He serves as the Director of the Vaccine Education Center and professor of pediatrics in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He is also the Maurice R. Hilleman Professor of Vaccinology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Offit is a well-published expert in the areas of rotavirus-specific immune responses and vaccine safety, and the co-inventor of the rotavirus vaccine, RotaTeq, recommended for universal use in infants by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Dr. Offit has received many national awards and recognitions for his work; he is a proud and engaged alumnus of the University of Maryland School of Medicine (Class of ’77).
