FACULTY POSITION

The Department of Orthopaedics of the University of Maryland School of Medicine is seeking an extramurally funded investigator for an exciting opportunity within the Division of Musculoskeletal Sciences. Expected rank for this position will be Assistant Professor or higher, however, final rank and tenure status will be commensurate with selected candidate's experience. A generous and competitive start-up package will be provided to support the investigator’s research initiatives.

The successful candidate for the position will be a Ph.D. or M.D. with a history of high quality, impactful research with expertise in musculoskeletal biology that compliments the interests of our existing basic science faculty either methodologically and/or thematically to enhance interactions and collaboration within the division, department, and school.

Qualifications: Ph.D. and/or M.D. with significant experience collaborating in an interdisciplinary research setting, background in physiology and/or pathophysiology of bone, cartilage, tendon, stem cells, or skeletal muscles at the molecular, cellular, tissue, and organism levels.
