The Maryland Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) Research and Translational Core Center (MPKD-RTCC), supported by NIDDK (U54DK126114), is built upon a strong foundation of pioneering PKD research.

MPKD-RTCC researchers have made groundbreaking discoveries that have deepened our understanding of PKD pathogenesis and have improved clinical care for patients with cystic kidney disease.

Polycystic Kidney Disease Research

The University of Maryland is home to one of three NIDDK-funded PKD Research and Translation Core Centers that provide innovative research resources to a national and international community of investigators. The Central Coordinating Site for the Center is also located at the University of Maryland.
