Women’s Health and Gastrointestinal Motility Physician (3-309-1268)
The Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology at the University of Maryland Downtown, Midtown, and Baltimore VA Medical Centers seek a full-time, BC/BE Gastroenterologist to expand our existing Women’s Health and GI Motility program. Clinical responsibilities include both inpatient and outpatient practices.
Expected faculty rank is Assistant Professor or higher, however, final rank, tenure status, and salary will be commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience.
Expected salary range for Assistant Professors is $225,000 (min) and $425,000 (max). The referenced salary range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. This salary range does not include all components of the departmental faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental variable compensation programs. Therefore, the actual compensation paid to the selected candidate may vary from the salary range stated herein. For more information, please contact the hiring department.
The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on the University of Maryland School of Medicine’s good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. This position requires an MD or DO degree from a recognized accredited university (or foreign equivalent), and candidates must be eligible for an unrestricted Maryland license. The successful candidate will possess clinical and personal skills to facilitate clinic and inpatient consultation, teaching of fellows, and supervision of NPs, and be skilled in endoscopic and relevant motility procedures. Previous clinical research experience is highly desirable. Additionally, because this position is funded (in part) by the VA Medical Center, all applicants must be US citizens.

Academic Clinical Gastroenterologist (3-309-1254)
The Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and the Baltimore VA Medical Center (BVAMC) are recruiting a full-time general gastroenterologist to provide clinical services at the University of Maryland Downtown, Midtown Campuses, the Baltimore VA Medical Center, and various UMM practices within the community, as well as local ambulatory surgical centers. Expected faculty rank is Assistant Professor or higher, however, final rank, tenure status, and salary will be commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience.
Expected salary range for Assistant Professors is $224,989 (min) and $425,005 (max). The referenced salary range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. This salary range does not include all components of the departmental faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental variable compensation programs. Successful candidates must possess superior clinical and endoscopic skills and be BC/BE in Gastroenterology. A record of clinical investigation is highly desirable. As this position will be funded, in part, by the VA, all applicants must be U.S. citizens.

The Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology at the University of Maryland Downtown, Midtown, and Baltimore VA Medical Centers seek a full-time, board certified/ eligible Gastroenterologist to join our nationally recognized Inflammatory Bowel Disease Program that cares for a diverse and complex cohort of patients. IBD faculty collaborate in a multidisciplinary clinic setting with experts in colorectal surgery, advanced endoscopy, psychology, pharmacy, and social work to enhance and streamline patient care. Our IBD faculty also contribute to our clinical research enterprise and educate trainees.

GI Hospitalists (03-309-1143)
The Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine seeks three (3) full-time GI Hospitalists to provide comprehensive GI care in the inpatient hospital setting. The GI Hospitalist will work as a team along with colleagues and GI APPS to provide GI consultation and emergent and non-emergent endoscopic procedures at the University of Maryland Medical System hospitals. Qualified candidates must be skilled in routine endoscopic procedures, but ERCP and EUS expertise is not required.
