Research and PSQI
Beyond our educational and clinical programs, our division remains active in clinical research. Federally-funded projects focus on high value primary care, health-information technology applications in chronic disease management, and clinical epidemiology of chronic kidney disease.
Our pilot initiatives include patient-centered redesign of hospital discharge instructions, a robust post-discharge call back program, pediatric to adult transitions of care, and initiatives in interprofessional education. Our physicians serve a pivotal role in addressing resource utilization, patient safety, quality improvement, and patient satisfaction within both the in- and the outpatient setting.
In addition, our faculty serve in several key University and Medical Center leadership positions and participate in numerous committees for the School of Medicine, hospital, and ambulatory practices.
