Plotnick Cardiovascular Fellowship Fund
A Project of School of Medicine Residents/Fellows
The Department of Medicine has trained physicians of the highest caliber, including more than half of the physicians currently practicing medicine in Maryland. Fellowship programs provide additional medical training. assisting early-career physicians as they grow their talent and pursue excellence. Fellowships allow these young physicians to work closely with faculty mentors as they master the art of medicine and practice compassion and caring. The Gary D. Plotnick, MD. Cardiovascular Medicine Fellowship Program Fund provides much-needed support for these fellows as they continue their education in cardiovascular medicine.
This fund is named in honor of Dr. Gary D. Ptotnick, a physician and teacher in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine for over 40 years. Beloved by his students. he has won numerous teaching awards, including 12 Golden Apple Awards for outstanding teaching.
