Hospitalist Program
Our GIM hospitalist group is comprised of approximately 30 physicians and 5 physician assistants who provide direct patient care over seven dedicated services. Through four of these services, we directly supervise our medicine house staff and students in the care of a diverse patient population from a large catchment area.
Additionally, our physicians and PAs provide care to our solid organ transplant hospitalist service, short stay observation service, and a sixteen-bed intermediate care unit. intermediate care unit is specially equipped to provide higher-level care in the form of hemodynamic monitoring, invasive procedures such as central venous catheters, bedside hemodialysis, chronic ventilatory support, and transient hemodynamic support.
Our hospitalists also provide general medicine consultation services throughout the medical center and facilitate hospital throughput via the medical admitting officer role.
Ambulatory Program
Our outpatient practice is comprised of 13 attending physicians and 2 nurse practitioners who provide preventative health services as well as management of acute and chronic medical problems to the residents of Baltimore City and the surrounding counties.
