Resources
Most people don’t quit smoking alone. They require support coming from multiple sources. Every quit plan is unique to the individual, and people should have the freedom to choose from many options. MD QUIT has come up with a list of places to turn to for consumers, providers, administrators, and for Maryland Tobacco resources.
Maryland TCRC is excited to offer a training resource called Tobacco 101: Fact Sheets for a Foundational Knowledge in Tobacco and Cessation. This resource offers a collection of "fact sheets" on various tobacco and treatment topics, from e-cigarettes to social justice issues. Access this resource by clicking here.

Administrators
Administrators also play an important role in leading smoking cessation efforts at organizations. Sometimes by merely acknowledging that smoking treatment should be more of a priority can jump-start an entire site-wide initiative. These initiatives have the power to add years of life to the people they serve.
We have put together a list of general resources that can help both administrators and providers of all types.
E-Cigarettes
E-cigarette use has gained in popularity over the last decade, especially in the younger population. Starting a dialogue about the dangers of these products is the first step in treatment efforts. These initiatives have the power to add years of life to the people they serve.
We have put together a list of general resources that provides insight on the E-cigarettes
Maryland Resources
Sometimes, it is nice to stay local, and we have listed resources available from our important local partners, found at the Maryland Tobacco Resources page.

Tobacco Disparities Dashboard
The CDC’s Office on Smoking and Health (OSH) recently launched the Tobacco Disparities Dashboard. The interactive dashboard turns data into visual information, enabling users to quickly explore and identify tobacco-related disparities in cigarette smoking among specific groups at the state level by age, disability, education, employment, income, mental health, race and ethnicity, sex, and locality (urban vs rural). The information can help guide program actions on targeted interventions to reduce cigarette smoking among certain groups.
