The JACQUES Initiative (JI) is a program of the Institute of Human Virology (IHV) at the University of Maryland School of Medicine (UMSOM), offering HIV and Hepatitis C (HCV) testing, prevention, education, linkage to care and supportive services through our Community Outreach Program and HIV Support Services.

In June 2024, JI began providing status-neutral clinical services with a focus on providing care to individuals facing challenges in accessing healthcare.

The< mission of the JACQUES Initiative is to change lives, engage communities and support health systems affected by HIV and Hepatitis C.
