Annual Jamasbi Awards
MELA’s annual education awards are peer-reviewed awards recognizing the outstanding dedication, innovation and excellence in medical education of faculty at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
Awardees receive an honorarium and recognition at the annual fall MELA Education Day. All faculty who are members of MELA are eligible to receive these awards. Faculty may not be recognized more frequently than once every five years.

Areas of excellence may include, but are not limited to, innovation, curriculum development, service, mentorship, and scholarship.
