Gratitude: Hales Gives Thanks for  Second Chance

The secret of our success and the key to our future growth comes, in part, from our internationally recognized faculty and some of the best and brightest medical students in the nation. Perhaps even more important are people like you—the generous donors and friends who make discovery and advancement possible.

Patients Expressing Gratitude

Through the Fund for Medicine, patients can say "thank you" to a physician for a job well done or support research aimed at finding new treatments and cures for devastating diseases. Here are some stories about patients who have made a big difference in their doctors' work: Grateful Patient Stories.

Alumni Giving Back

More than 22,000 students have graduated from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, many of whom have gone on to become successful physicians, teachers, scientists and entrepreneurs. Our alumni value the education they received and recognize how their medical education was fundamental to their achievement. By giving to the Fund for Medicine, they can show their appreciation and ensure that resources are available to support medical education for the students of tomorrow. Alumni Stories

Families and Friends Advancing Our Work

People have some very personal reasons for giving to the School of Medicine. Some are families of current medical students who want to show their gratitude for the education their loved one is receiving. Others are families who have been touched by a disease and want to advance education and research into treatments and a cure. Still others have had positive experiences with our physicians or want to make a gift to honor or remember someone special in their lives. Family & Friends Stories
