Nearly all Vaccines Used in Routine U.S. Pediatric Care Tested Through Center For Vaccine Development and Global Health’s Collaboration with the Pediatric Center of Frederick.

For 30 years, the Center for Vaccine Development and Global Health (CVD) at the University of Maryland School of Medicine (UMSOM) has collaborated with the Pediatric Center of Frederick to test vaccines used in pediatric care.

Nearly every vaccine used in routine pediatric care has been tested through this important collaboration.

“Every single vaccine that we currently have licensed in the pediatric schedule, in one form or another, has been tested here at this practice in Frederick,” said James Campbell, MD, Professor of Pediatrics and the Principal Investigator for the pediatric vaccine research conducted at the Pediatric Center of Frederick.

“You can see healthy infants, children and adolescent come in and know that we had a part in keeping them healthy and protected,” said Nancy Wymer, RN, the Clinical Research Coordinator at the site in Frederick, MD.
