Center for Precision Disease Modeling
Center for Precision Disease Modeling
A graphic explaining the structure of the CDPM. It features two tiers of animal models, the first being drosophila and zebra fish precision disease models, and the second being mouse precision disease models. The three tiers are model generation, variant function and mechanism investigation, and therapeutic development.

The mission of CPDM@UMB is to bridge the gap between genetic discoveries and patient outcomes by leveraging high-throughput precision disease modeling to generate animal models, uncover mechanisms underlying genetically based diseases, and develop innovative, mechanism-based therapeutic treatments to transform precision medicine and improve the lives of patients worldwide.

Using a unique “2-Tier 3-Level” service strategy, the Center is designed to deliver impactful and efficient services for variant functional studies, precision disease models, disease mechanism investigations, and targeted treatment development.

If you have novel genetic variant(s) identified from patients and want to use our service, please contact us at CPDM@som.umaryland.edu

You can also submit the variant information using the link below for a free feasibility evaluation for using our rapid and cost-effective Tier 1 service on your variant-of-interest.
