SCIENTIFIC LEADERSHIP & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SYMPOSIA

These symposia support UMB junior faculty and trainees’ efforts to develop- and maintain- a productive research program. Participants will learn the principles of scientific leadership from successful researchers. These symposia are divided into two parts: 1) Basic Science and Translational Research and; 2) Clinical Science Research.

TRANSITIONING TO INDEPENDENCE: A PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SYMPOSIUM ON LEADERSHIP FOR UMB “K” AWARDEES

The Office for Research Career Development, in collaboration with the K-30 Program, is sponsoring a professional development symposium in research leadership and project management for all clinically-oriented UMB career development (K) awardees.  This symposium will focus on the necessary skills for launching an independent clinical and translational research career.  NOTE: While this symposium is intended for current K scholars, clinical scholars, as well as postdocs who may be considering applying for a K award, are welcome to attend.
