The core currently houses real-time PCR, In-incubator Microscope, scintillation counter, stopped flow equipment, thermal cyclers, rapid chemical-quench-flow instrumentation, confocal microscopes, epifluorescence microscopy, HPLC, FPLC, ultracentrifugation equipment, cell culture incubators, and imaging equipment, etc. 

Roche LightCycler 480 II - qPCR Machine

The qPCR Machine is a Roche LightCycler 480 II, which is located on the 3rd floor of the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Department, in room 327, as part of the shared equipment area.

Olympus Viva-View Incubator Microscope

The Olympus Viva-View Incubator Microscope with Liquid Handing Option is located on the 1st floor of the Biomedical Research Facility (BRF), 108 N. Greene Street, in room 120. This equipment is managed by Dr. Martin Schneider.

The equipment purchase was supported by the National Institutes of Health through an award (1S10026380) that was issued under the National Center for Research Resources (NCRR). It is also supported in part by the University of Maryland School of Medicine and the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
