Shared Instrumentation
The Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology firmly believes in collaboration and partnership. By creating a nexus of shared instrumentation in our department and promoting the use of UMSOM's state of the art biomedical core resources, we strive to embody our institution's core values and vision.
BMBIC
The Biochemistry & Molecular Biology Calendar (BMBIC) was developed with the vision that it would serve as a central location for shared instrumentation serving our department. The BMBIC provides molecular signaling, imaging, and structural biology support services and is used not only by our faculty members, but those in the Biomedical Research Facility (BRF) building, as well as faculty from other surrounding facilities who have signaling, imaging, and structural biology equipment needs.
CIBR
The Center for Innovative Biomedical Resources (CIBR) serves as a center of excellence for state-of-the-art technologies, high-tech instrumentation, and expertise that supports biomedical research, clinical practice and healthcare in the state of Maryland and the region. The newly renovated space allows physical consolidation of many core facilities in common space, creating a dynamic environment that will enhance and stimulate high-impact research through a trans-disciplinary approach.
