Center for Biomolecular Therapeutics
The Center for Biomolecular Therapeutics (CBT) is a collaborative initiative between the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB), and the University of Maryland, College Park. With research facilities at UMB and the Institute for Bioscience and Biotechnology Research (IBBR) in Shady Grove, the CBT unites faculty from UMB, College Park, Baltimore County, and other institutions within the University System of Maryland (USM). Under the leadership of Director David J. Weber, PhD, the CBT fosters interdisciplinary innovation across biomedical research and education. Additionally, the CBT will work closely with the new Center for Biomeasurement and Biomanufacturing Innovation (CBBI) at the IBBR to achieve this vision.
UM Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center
Cancer research has transformed the lives of millions of people who are now thriving despite living with cancer. The cancer center investigators at UMGCCC have made it their vocations to gain further scientific knowledge about cancer, to develop cancer treatments that are more effective and have fewer side effects, and to better prevent cancer or to detect it at an earlier stage to provide patients with improved prognoses.
