Positions available in the following areas:

Trauma Anesthesia Division

We are seeking energetic and dedicated individuals at all ranks to join our Trauma Anesthesia Division. The R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, part of the University of Maryland Medical Center, is the nation’s busiest trauma hospital and the leading center worldwide for trauma-related research. Faculty are engaged in assessment and resuscitation of trauma patients including critical care and acute pain management. Fellowship training in Critical Care or Cardiac Anesthesia is preferred but not required. Responsibilities include clinical care and teaching students, residents, and fellows. Time is available for academic and scholarly activities. Opportunities exist for clinical, translational, and basic research. Division of Adult Multispecialty Anesthesiology:

The Division of Adult Multispecialty Anesthesiology is the largest Division in the Department. Division members care for patients in the Weinberg and North Hospital operative rooms of the University of Maryland Medical Center which consist of 27 surgical and two endoscopy suites. Surgical services include surgical oncology, transplantation, plastic surgery, gynecologic surgery, orthopedics, minimally invasive surgery and neurosurgery. Members of the Division not only provide care in surgical  suites, but also anesthetic care in nonsurgical cares, such as the MRI/CT scanning areas, neuroangiography, body angiography, radiation oncology, pulmonary medicine, electrophysiology, and gastrointestinal endoscopy.
