To apply for a shadowing opportunity, please email the following information to AnesCRNACoordinator@som.umaryland.edu:

1. Current Status:
   Are you a University of Maryland nurse or student (SRNA)?

2. ICU Experience:
   Have you completed at least 2 years of ICU experience?

3. CV/Resume:
   Please attach your most recent CV or resume.

4. Statement of Interest:
   Include a brief statement explaining why you would like to participate in our shadowing program.

5. Dates Available:
   Provide at least 5 days you are available to shadow between 7 AM and 10 AM.

6. Scrub Access:
   Include your University badge number and scrub size so we can grant you access to the scrub exchange machine.

If you are NOT a University of Maryland Nurse or Student, please follow the instructions below to apply as a volunteer:

1. Visit the UMMC Volunteer website and complete the entire application, including health clearance and background investigation forms (found under "Become a Volunteer").

2. Under "Volunteer Opportunities," on the application select "Other" and write "Anesthesiology" in the description field. Then, check "Yes, this is an approved placement."

3. Ensure your application is fully completed before submitting.

4. Call the Volunteer Office at 410-328-5600 to schedule an interview.

Once your paperwork is complete and you have received your hospital badge.
