Clinical and Translational Research Training
The goal of this program is to provide education and training in clinical and translational research for clinicians and scientists. This program includes a Master of Science degree in Clinical Research (i.e. the Clinical Research track in MS-PREV) and a Certificate in Clinical Research.
Eastern Shore Mobile Care Collaborative (ESMCC)
The Eastern Shore Mobile Care Collaborative (ESMCC) at Caroline County Health Department is a Mobile Treatment Unit that aims to increase access to care by providing Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) for individuals with Opioid Use Disorders (OUD) in underserved rural communities in order to maximize access to life-saving treatment and develop a model of care that can be adopted by other underserved rural areas with similar needs.
Global Ethics Education Initiative (GEEI)
The Global Ethics Education Initiative recognizes the moral dilemmas intrinsic to building better international social and economic structures and hence, encourages educational efforts and rigorous thinking on these issues of social justice.
Gold Humanism Honor Society
The Gold Humanism Honor Society (GHHS) recognizes students, residents and faculty who are exemplars of compassionate patient care and who serve as role models, mentors, and leaders in medicine. GHHS members are peer-nominated and are the ones that others say they want taking care of their own family.
Middle East Research Ethics Training Initiative (MERETI)
MERETI offers an educational program in research ethics for healthcare professionals who are involved with research involving human participants. This two-year program combines face-to-face and online training and the performance of a funded project at one’s home institution.
Mini-Med School
Offered as a public service, Mini-Medical School ("Mini-Med School") is a tuition-free lecture series provided by University of Maryland School of Medicine faculty, during which the lay public learns about diseases and their prevention.

The Program in the Biology of Model Systems
The Program in the Biology of Model Systems (PBMS) is headquartered in the Columbus Center, University of Maryland School of Medicine. The Program utilizes model organisms with the goal of illuminating fundamental biological mechanisms and providing insights into the workings of human and other higher organisms.
Program in Image Guided Neurointerventions (PIGN)
A division of the Center for Advanced Imaging Research (CAIR), PIGN uses interdisciplinary approaches to work at the crossroads of therapeutic concepts and technical developments. The mission of PIGN is to promote the utilization of advanced imaging for a variety of neurointerventions in order to fully implement a paradigm of precision medicine that we believe is essential for improving outcomes of CNS disorders. Progress in implementing effective therapies for CNS disease is frustratingly slow, and lags far behind treatments for other disorders. Resolving this disparity is PIGN's ultimate mission.
