Biosketch

Dr. Henry specializes in treating conditions of the esophagus, lung and mediastinum and offers minimally invasive robotic surgery for most thoracic procedures.

He is an assistant professor of surgery at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and an attending thoracic surgeon and director of clinical operations for the Division of Thoracic Surgery. Dr. Henry is also the chair of thoracic surgery at UM Baltimore Washington Medical Center.

In addition to being part of the faculty at the University of Maryland, Dr. Henry is the chief of the Section of Thoracic Surgery at St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore. He is credentialed to perform surgery at the University of Maryland Medical Center, University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health Center, the University of Maryland St. Joseph's Medical Center, University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center, St. Agnes Hospital and Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore.

Dr. Henry earned his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore, where he also had his internship and residency with the Division of General Surgery. Dr. Henry completed a fellowship as a cardiothoracic clinical associate and staff fellow through a joint program between the University of Maryland Division of Cardiac Surgery and the George Washington School of Medicine in Washington, DC. He was also a cardiothoracic resident in the Division of Cardiac Surgery at the University of Maryland Medical Center.

Dr. Henry is certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a fellow of the Southeastern Surgical Congress.
