Project Medical Education

Project Medical Education gives elected officials and other state and federal policymakers a first-hand look at medical education as the foundation for America’s world-class health care system. In a day-long program, public officials learn what it takes to train the nation’s future doctors and gain a better understanding of the challenges facing medical schools and teaching hospitals in the 21st century. During the interactive sessions, public officials don white coats, accompany physicians on their rounds, and visit research labs and treatment facilities. Project Medical Education is an annual program supported by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC). For more information, contact the Office of Public Affairs at 410-706-8518, or visit the AAMC's Project Medical Education Website.
